Pastor Phillip L. Moore was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois, as the fourth of nine children to the late Deacon Luther and Onie Moore. After high school, he pursued a career as a second-generation carpenter, joining the Will County Carpenters Union Local 174. Seeking to serve his country, he later enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served honorably.
During a challenging season in his life, Pastor Moore had a life-changing encounter with God. In 2004, he surrendered his life to Christ and was filled with the Holy Ghost at Redeem Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Eugene Fears, Jr. There, he faithfully served as an usher, a deacon, and vice president of the Men’s Department. In 2006, he answered the call to ministry, and on his birthday—February 17, 2008—he preached his first sermon, "When God Calls You, Will You Go to Nineveh or Tarshish?"
In 2009, Pastor Moore transitioned to Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, where his uncle, Pastor Clyde Moore, entrusted him with greater ministry responsibilities. He was ordained on August 13, 2013, and later relocated to Wichita, Kansas, in 2014. There, he served as Assistant Pastor at Tabernacle Church of God in Christ under Supt. Jonathan Platt.
After much prayer and fasting, Pastor Moore founded Eden Fellowship Ministries, Church of God in Christ in 2016. Under his leadership, the ministry continues to grow, impacting lives and serving the community. He also serves as Administrative Assistant, Jurisdictional Secretary, and Chief Adjutant for the Kansas Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Milton P. Jackson, Jr.
Pastor Moore is blessed to share life and ministry with his wife, Evangelist Carmen Moore. Together, they are the proud parents of nine adult children and grandparents to eight grandchildren. His passion remains steadfast—to spread the gospel, transform lives, and advance the Kingdom of God.
Evangelist Carmen Moore was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Carolyn Phillips and Lee Laws, and the granddaughter of the late Lonie and Frances Fleming. She grew up attending Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, where she developed a love for ministry and began teaching Sunday School as a teenager—a passion she still carries today.
Throughout her adult life, she faithfully served in various ministries. She attended Ephesians Church of God in Christ under Superintendent Joseph Gilkey Jr. and later Abundance of Life Cathedral of Praise in Topeka under now Bishop Milton P. Jackson Jr., where she continued her dedication to the church.
After relocating to Illinois, she met and married Pastor Phillip Moore, and together, they have built a life of ministry and service. Evangelist Moore has held numerous leadership roles in the church, including Sunday School Teacher, Church Administrator, Jurisdictional Treasurer for Pastors and Ministers’ Wives, and Jurisdictional Department Administrator.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Leadership from Friends University and is a certified Evangelist Missionary in the Church of God in Christ. Her professional and ministry certifications include:
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)
Mandated Court Reporter
Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid Responder
Christian Life Coach
Fostering Futures Advocate
Today, Evangelist Moore serves as First Lady of Eden Fellowship Ministries, working alongside her husband, Pastor Phillip Moore, to advance the vision of the church. She cherishes her blended family of nine children and eight grandchildren and remains dedicated to empowering others through faith, leadership, and service.
